I adopted Mads 2.5 years ago. I had been looking for a dog for some time, but it turned out not to work locally due to unsuitable breeds. However, a foreign adoption scared me a bit, but one day I suddenly saw a nice video from Hope for Dogs Europe. With a little heart I asked for extra information and the contact person in the Netherlands immediately put me at ease, especially when it turned out that it was a small-scale shelter, run by Dutch people and when the contact person for Belgium also turned out to live in my municipality, I was convinced. I haven't regretted it for a minute... yes, Mads had a lot of puppy pranks, barked like an accomplished watchdog and was occasionally a little ghost, but he was also super sweet, very social with people and animals and he has grown into a beautiful dog that even has its own female (and no, not dogs) fan club at the fence 😉 For those who are unsure about adopting a dog from Slavica and her team: definitely do it! They are the most beautiful and sweetest dogs and everyone works so hard to help as many animals as possible in the most difficult circumstances... The day we have a larger garden, another one may come. And if you can't adopt, be sure to support with a cent... it will end up well and it is desperately needed 🙏
